Thank you Isaiah46ministries for nominating me.

The rules of the challenge are to: 1) write something in response to the photo you are given, and 2) pick a picture of your own and nominate three people

The little pig could not contain hisself that crisp morning in July.

He and his three brothers had been busy the day before building their houses. one built his out of straw and one built his out of sticks, but this little pig built his out of bricks. He was a very smart pig. He knew that he needed proper material to build his fine house and so the big bad wolf could not blow his house in.

As the story goes,

He and his brothers tried to escape the big bad wolf. First they joined together in the house built from straw, but the wolf huffed and puffed and blew in that little house, scattering the pigs, as they ran for their lives.

Later on in the day, the three pigs joined together to eat dinner at the house of sticks. Just as they were finishing their meal, the big bad wolf struck again, blowing the house of sticks into oblivion. So once again the three pigs scattered and later met up again at the third pigs, house of bricks.

Later on as the night had set in, the three pigs were all comfortable, watching tv. There came a knock at the front door. The big bad wolf was outside waiting to come in and gobble them all up. He was patiently waiting that is when he got the ideal to dress up as a little old lady and try his luck in tricking the three pigs, into letting him come in.

As the story would go, the little pigs declared, “Not by the hair on our chinny chin chins,” and the wolf out of frustration climbed to the top of the house and decided to enter the house through the chimney. The pigs knew he would do this and had a pot of chicken broth stewing down below in the fireplace. The wolf realized too late that he was going to be cooked. Too bad for the wolf, but the pigs felt safe finally and prepared the wolf for a wonderful dinner the next day.

The picture above shows the ecstatic pig who built his house out of bricks.

Success was in preparing and using their little pig brains.

The END.

30 Day Song Challenge/Accepted

One foot on the brake and one on the gas, hey!
Well, there’s too much traffic, I can’t pass, no!
So I tried my best illegal move
Well, baby, black and white come and touched my groove again!

Gonna write me up a 125
Post my face wanted dead or alive
Take my license, all that jive
I can’t drive 55! Oh No!

So I signed my name on number 24, hey!
Yeah the judge said, “Boy, just one more…
We’re gonna throw your ass in the city joint”

Looked me in the eye, said, “You get my point?”
I said Yea!, Oh yea!
Write me up a 125
Post my face wanted dead or alive

Take my license, all that jive
I can’t drive 55!
Oh, yea!

I can’t drive 55!
I can’t drive 55!
I can’t drive 55!
I can’t drive 55!

RAKA AWARD Nominations

RAKA Award, Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness Award

I have tried my best to keep this award going and spreading. I think when a person does a RAKA, they are special. It takes someone special to just do something for another because they want to make another person smile.

Please help spread this award so that we all can see what wonderful people we have in our world.  There is so much negativity in it, can we just spread some sunshine!

I am nominating these folks. I really hope they will spread the love, and just write a little something about the person who you shared a random act of kindness to or have received from someone.

Please TAG the person nominated and the person who nominated you, let’s do THIS!

I nominate these folks…

THWEE, challenge accepted

Every day, Teresa of the THE HAUNTED WORDSMITH,will be hosting a white elephant party. If you are unfamiliar with what a white elephant party is, it can be summed as a party where people exchange gifts that are meant to be funny (some are serious though, it’s up to the gift giver). THWWE

How is this going to work? Like this:

Every day I kick the party off by listing three fellow bloggers and the gift I give them. No one is obligated to participate (though if people do, it’ll be more fun). If the gift recipient wants to participate, they will pick three bloggers and give them gifts. And so on until the following day. At that time I will share some of the funnier gifts that people have given or received.

I hope I don’t have to say that real gifts will not be given 🙂

You’ll see what I mean in a moment. In the meantime, if you do choose to accept your gift and join the party, please use THWWE as a tag. Thank you.

On to the party!

I nominate… He is getting a Bible reference book. I know he takes guidance from God above and I could not think of a more useful gift for someone striving to follow God. I hope you like.

Henry(short story by MwsR <3)

A penny for your thought, or make a long story short? Seems like a piece of cake, right? Well, maybe not.

Henry’s teacher was asking the class to write about their feelings on the Holidays, or at least something pertaining to the holidays. Henry was struggling on what or how to go about writing. He was basically, sitting on the fence and did not want to decided.

For Henry, Holidays were not that great. He had thought of putting the wool over someone’s eyes and making a story of the best Holiday ever but he was not sure if he could get away with it. Because he had never really enjoyed the Holidays, since his mom passed away on Thanksgiving day, he was certain that he could not even “milk it” for one second. His hurt had been so deep that his “heart-felt like it would burst” Perhaps the teacher would give him the benefit of a doubt, but he was afraid to risk it.

As Henry walked home he tried desperately to think of a way to get out of doing that Holiday paper. It was possible that whoever read what he wrote would also be able to READ him to fifth degree. He was not going to be able to fool anyone it appeared so he might as well “hop to it”. He was simply going to shoot for the stars.  After all what else could he loose. He had done lost his mother, the one person who meant the world to him. Perhaps, it wasn’t bad to write a paper that might honor that, honor her memory in his own He was going to write and write his paper as sickening, as he could!

When Henry arrived home, he sat down at his desk and started to remember all the things about his mother that he loved. He let himself remember all the holidays when she and him were together. It is like the words just started to flow onto the paper. When he paused, he noticed he had written the most he had ever wrote, he had three whole pages. He asked his brother to look over his paper and proofread it. He then packed it into his notebook, proud of his accomplishment.

The next day at school when others were being asked to go to the front of the class and read off their papers, he volunteered which was a total shock to his teacher. She nodded at him with a rather wide smile as he approached the front. His paper’s title was. “Holidays My Mom Gave Me”. He read all three pages and when he was finished you could hear  pin drop. Henry was about to take his seat when the children started clapping and some of the children were wiping tears away from their eyes. It was great. Henry had never been so proud of himself in all his life. He knew his mother was too.

After all Holidays are more than trimmings and things under the tree, they are about those we love and care about and what that means.

Sunday Whirl, Wordle 378, Challenge

11 words  from which to choose…

Watching the NEWS, you will soon start to see more than not a STREAM of bad news. This can cause a person to REGRET watching it. Our world is filled with so many things that can take a person’s CHEER. There are things we hear about and see that are happening . Those things can STING and hurt to our very core. I choose to write and express some of my feelings in blogging. It is a good thing when we can let that stuff DRIFT out of our heads, and away from our hearts.

With EASE we can try to go through life, if we keep our hearts FREE of the hurt. If we live life with no regrets. That does not mean that there won’t be periods of hurt and disappointments, and like watching the news there won’t be turmoil or dying or suffering.  The fact is that we do not have to BINGE on all that negativity. We all hang on to our life by a FRINGE of hope. Without hope we have nothing that matters much. There would be no need to ever change things or be optimistic.

TO SAIL through life we need good wind(hope), a good current(optimism), and good weather(experiences). Without those things, we are “dead in the water”.
