For crops that mature quickly, like beans, planting seeds will work just fine. But for other plants, like tomatoes, you’ll need to purchase transplants or fruit won’t have time to mature in some regions of the country. All annual flowers can also be planted in June, like perennials, which come back every year around this time, too. The biggest challenge in June is making sure to keep plants watered evenly. It’s also smart to keep an eye out for pests. Inspect your plants every few days so insects won’t get a foothold; you’ll be surprised how quickly they appear out of nowhere!
