At 90 years old, great-grandma Marion Thomas earned her college degree from Georgian Court University after putting her education on hold to care for her husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
The 80-year-old says he doesn’t show much emotion, but he does like the way it feels when he finds out one of his quilts has made an impact on someone.

“I was really scared to go in there with all that smoke. But God put me there to save those animals,” he said. “If you love a dog, you can love anyone in the world. My dog is my best friend, and I wouldn’t be here without him, so I knew I had to save all those other dogs.”

The animal shelter has set up a GOFUND Account to help with the Rebuilding of Their ShElter.
A GoFundMe that was set up had raised more than $36,000 by Tuesday morning.
