With the average monthly benefit at $1,523, retirees who rely on Social Security to pay for all of their living expenses are on very tight budgets.

Yes, we are and with inflation, we are having to watch for sales on food and stay home more instead of running errands. For example, we get our mail at a post office box, but we don’t go by and pick it up unless we are out on an errand like a medical appointment.
