RAKA award/Random Acts of Kindness

Hey All!
This week I am sending out the award I made, the RAKA award, the random act of kindness award.
I came up with this award because so many of us are touched by random acts of kindness, and they are worth mentioning.
All through life we encounter people who for no apparent reason help us, or extend a hand when needed. Some do it directly and some do it indirectly.
Rules are posted on original award post, but here is a recap.
1- copy or paste image for reward on your post.
2- Write a paragraph on a random act of kindness, either you saw, was given to you, or you have done. It is okay to spread the love people. You don’t have to name specific names or whatever but tell us about it.
3- Share this award and link to original post or tag the person who nominated you.
4- If you should want to do this then you can leave an open ended invitation, or personally tag others.
5- Pictures are a good share to, if you have pictures to share a random act of kindness, that is great!

This award was created by me, Mws R for the sole purpose of connecting people who have had something shown to them, or gave to them that expresses a kind and loving nature, perhaps a kind and loving heart, or a wonderful spirit.

My hopes in creating this was so that we all can share, unite, and rejuvenate our heart of giving. I am hoping that is spreads like a wild-fire and we all find some sense of love, unity and sharing out of it all.

My wish is that I impact another in a positive way!

The Awesome Impact Award was created by Da Rad Gamer.

For me, an incident that impacted my life was when I won a singing competition and was offered my own cd and a chance to be on the Grand Ole Opry. I was in my twenties and I was singing a Mariah Carey song for my audition.

That moment in time, in my life, made such an impact on my self esteem. It was the thing I needed to have in my life, at that particular time.

I was going through so much personal turmoil from my family back then, it encouraged me to believe in myself, even when others might not.

My blog started as some may already know, to get the word out about my self published books of poetry. I have to admit I am not a professional editor or publisher but I tried.

I now do this blog, and have made it into my own webpage. I love doing it, and I love sharing things I know or find out, as well as my poems, my stories, and my thoughts.

I hope in doing so someone out there might identify or feel enpowered or just not feel alone. Maybe learn something new is always a good thing, hopefully my posts do that as well.

Two pieces of advice to new bloggers…

-WRITE what you want. Do not copy anyone, be your own person. Those that appreciate that will continue reading your stuff.

-Proofread your work. We all make errors, it is just that way sometimes. To increase followings and such you should use proper grammar and spelling.

I appreciate your writing and you.  You have been one of those “sunbeams” in someone’s sunshine.

This is a good award , like mine, it focuses on those around us, who with or without trying impact another’s life,

I guess for me to point to a specific time in my life when I was impacted in a positive way, would be unfair, There have been so many times in my life when I felt like I was alone in my own feelings, alone in my personal battles, and alone as a human , period.

I would have to write about the first person who came in my life when we both were just kids, in a little country church. Her mom and my mom worked together and we both were around the same age but we really did not socialize. Well, not then we didn’t. She was a girl that kind of kept to herself, and her two sisters. She was pretty, I always thought. I remember standing behind her in the church pews and admiring her long hair. I know that seems odd, but she had the prettiest hair.

She had two sisters and two brothers who semi attended church. She seemed to be the quietest of the bunch. Her brother would go on to be the pastor of this little country church.  Her mother was a strong Christian lady and she was always at church and trying her best to rear her children up in the love of the Lord. I admired her so.

Let’s go ahead in time to when we became friends for life…

Her name is not important but she and I soon took up as life long “sisters” and friends. She has given me more support and love than anyone on this planet, excluding my family of course. She loves with everything she is and her all. She is a beautiful soul and a beautiful person. The way she accepted me and has loved me along some of the most terrible times in my life, is immense. I never knew a better friend and her whole family has adopted me to be their own. I love them all and her especially.

Her love has tremendously impacted my own life and her eagerness to be in my life and to have me in hers can never be repaid. She is very unselfish and very giving. If she were to read this, I would want her to know, she is the brightest star in the darkest journey I have ever had to walk. I love her and I hope she knows that.
