St. Patrick’s Day, also known as St. Paddy’s Day is the national holiday of Ireland, which celebrates Saint Patrick the patron saint of Ireland, and is one of Christianity’s most widely known figures. St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by people of all backgrounds. Celebrations worldwide include people dressing up, wearing of the color green, cities dyeing rivers green, shamrocks everywhere, drinking of alcohol, and large parades.
