Picking Hearts

Ha, we can not pick hearts, how absurd!

But if you could, what would you look for?

I would look for one that doesn’t require anything too perfect

One that won’t give up on you, even though you might not always make sense

A heart that could withstand harsh conditions and changes in someone’s attitude.

I would look for experience, some, in all things that matter

One does not want a heart that cannot withstand pain

A heart that can crumble or die when exposed to the truth,

One that cannot determine between right or wrong

Or one that has been closed for too long.

I would want one that has compassion and love for all things

One that feels what another person is going through

Picking hearts would surely be a hard thing to do

I wonder if it would even be possible

Perhaps in another dimension or time

But not in this world, not the one that has mine.

Inward…
Battles rage
Forever…
They will fight
As…
Long as there is a wrong and a right.

We Forget/ poem share by MwsR

We Forget

In self-inflicted blindness we forget all the ones that are in pain

Then we turn and look over our shoulders never accepting the blame.

Onward we keep going, forever clueless in our own little bubble

Looks like we should access while we are down in the rumble,

But we don’t and then we deceive ourselves into thinking that all is right,

Even when we toss and turn way into the night.

What is it that makes a person truly at peace?

Is it knowing that others we can deceive, if they only believe?

It’s like a game of chance that we are willing to partake of

Not caring who we step on or who we shove.

Selfish we enter this world, selfish we leave it.

It’s not just me thinking this and you better believe it.

Why can’t we stop fooling ourselves,

Stop hurting others because they let us, themselves.

We need to acknowledge that we all play a part in this world together.

God didn’t create us to be alone, especially forever.

To care about others we give parts of ourselves away,

For as long as it takes, maybe a year, maybe for just a day.

Anyone worthy of love, is worth the learning

When others come first , in actuality we come alongside them.

No, we can’t be always good or right, but we can bring things up and together, just like a seamstress’ hem.

Broken Toy/Poem Share

Oh! what you would know,

If you were to be a broken toy.

You would have had years of excitement

Been used to being played and toyed with

Being first in line, most of the time

The many conversations and travels

Your human friend would have told you.

Despite age and broken parts

You will always be remembered in the human’s heart

You will maybe, if you are lucky

Be saved for another generation

To see and experience.

Broken Toys can become broken from being touched

If you have been touched, you were special once

If you was special, then perhaps you were loved.

So being broken may not be so bad after all.

Ah, to be a broken toy…

Rain /Poem Share

No sunshine can be found now

No rainbow even shows

You are gone now all I have left are woes.

The clouds shadow over everything around

Ready to burst with all my tears

The real life is not the same, hasn’t been for years.

You were the break in the cloudy sky

Seemed to affect every aspect of who I was born to be

Without you, there would had been no me.

I still need you, even though you aren’t here

I took for granted you would always be around

Your passing brought the biggest cloud.

I guess it will start to rain

Without any sunshine, I know it will

Just a reflection of how I feel.

Rain, rain go away

Bring back my Paw Paw make him stay.

So I can tell him I love him and never want him to go away.

Rain, Rain, I guess you will have to stay

With my Paw Paw gone away.

Mind

How is it I find myself here

Traveling so very long and a hard travel it is

I wonder, does my mind know it can take a rest?

Take a rest and reflect on being blessed.

NUMBERS

If numbers were to arrange themselves in a different way

Each designated for a meaning or purpose

Mine would be 1,2,5,and 7, and 9.

One would be for the count of just me,

Living and breathing in this life

Two would be for my husband and myself,

Together forever till death claims us

Five would be for the members in the first family of “us”

We are one family, one bond, and forever

Seven is for the family my daughter has added to us

Her and her kids are a family too

My number 9 is for the other daughter and her son and her fianc’e.

These numbers do not define me and mine

But they are a reminder that things change sometimes and

That a little change does not have to mess up the beginning.

I just want to say HEY to all you people out there in this big ole world.

SO….

HEY.

Hope everyone knows how much they are deserving of love, affection, respect, and cherished beyond belief.

Sure/Poem Share

Are we ever really sure…

Sometimes things are too much

Too much for us to handle.

Sometimes we are like a clasp on a sandal

Easy to work but with not much fore thought.

Sometimes we can fail to work

To serve our purpose.

When clasps don’t work any longer we replace it with another one.

Clasps serve one purpose ,they are to hold things together,

To keep things from separating.

Sometimes we lose the intended purpose.

Too often we just see this one thing…

When there are many more all around us.

If we were meant to only have one clasp,  or better yet given one clasp to last…

What care we would had  taken of it!
