#FOWC challenge

SILENCE

The sound of silence

That fell on deaf ears

Breaks a heart

And brings on the tears

No one knows the struggle

Unless around you it goes

Holding on for dear life

No matter what strength at it you throw

Uncaged it wiggles away

Only to resurface another day

If only more things could be silent

Inside of creating silence all on their own accord

Silence can be golden if it gives rest to your soul.

I wish this to be, it is something I must know.

Traffic

The stuff that moves in and out, like a busy street of commotion

I stop and think sometimes why am I constantly in motion?

My mind is like traffic that never seems to stop,

I know sometimes the havoc of it all makes my brain want to pop.

Traffic that has no sense of origin, not even an end

I feel trapped by all in my head that enters in.

Sometimes for just a brief moment, my pain eases

I think honestly I’d have better luck capturing sneezes.

Traffic of a different nature, yes!

But still traffic non the less.

A fluid movement from an active brain

I know you probably think me to be insane.

If just once traffic could be averted for a while

I would rest for maybe a mile,

With a big fat smile!

COMPETE

Anything that’s done, does not a competition make.

I once thought so, but that was my mistake.

If I can’t stand the heat in the kitchen

I should not stand in the way of  someone’ else’s competition.

Although I will compete if need be.

Just not in everything I do, because that is just not me.

To Be or Not To Be, Present(short story) MwsR ❤

She had many good traits.

Always on time to whatever came up or she had to attend. She hated being late and did once, but never again.

Her timeliness was one of her traits, as well as making anybody laugh at her antics and jokes. She would always try to make another person smile, if given the chance.

Known in college as the life of the class, she kept good grades there also, by staying on task.

Her friends always looked for her, they enjoyed her company. “Never a boring moment”, she would exclaim, as she made them laugh.

You always saw her kind nature and her fun one, but there was something not yet known to anyone.

She felt removed from her own mind a lot of the times, like she was living someone else’s life. She felt that she was not even present in her own daily life. She never gave anyone a reason to doubt her being present, but it was something she felt.

I guess you could say that was part of her charm. If she felt PRESENT as herself, you know, the one inside, no one would like her. At least that is how she saw things.

LEGEND

There was so much more to him than anyone knew

He carried himself with such dignity and assuredness.

Proud on the outside but yet humble in spirit.

His ethics were his stronghold.

He was tall and dark headed

Simple, yet handsome.

He gave all he had into anything he did.

Trying hard for the one’s he loved

He was a legend to his family

But more importantly to his generations to come.

Just because of all he was and all he had done.

When you want to do something but you stop

If things get you down and you just go kir-plop.

When talking to refuse to look them in the eye

Those around you always get something by asking but you don’t

People intimidate you and make you afraid

That is Fear, that you have made.
