Poem

Frozen by MwsR

Can you feel it?

Can you feel it way down deep?

Or has it haunted you in your sleep?

You have become numb and changed

The pieces that were once limber are stiff.

Why is it that we stay on that frozen cliff?

Too many things have been affected

Your goals and your visions have become neglected.

It’s as if your own soul has been rejected.

You can no longer see clearly now there is a haze

You try to get back what time tries to erase

When in all actuality you cannot continue the chase.

Waiting for that one rock to knock you and shatter you into many pieces

Hoping that the Sun will warm you and bring you back to living

Where once breath was inside of you now you have nothing that’s giving.

You are frozen.

You are frozen in time.

You are frozen in time because you have grown cold.

No spark has left no flame will burn

Until this curse has risen

You need to realize what it is you have to give and how much more of your life you have to live, just listen.

You don’t have to be frozen

Time doesn’t have to freeze

You can avoid being cold…

The spark is there it will ignite the flame

The curse will rise and you shall remain

You can give and continue to live.

People…by MwsR
We meet all kinds.
We share with and trust a few.
For me, it might be you.
They come in and out of our world
They give us either great lessons or understanding
See the choices I’m claiming.
I see different traits
Different battles
And it’s their faith that settles.
Why do we just exist?
Among others
Mom, dad, sisters, brothers.
Why can’t we take something
Rearrange something
Are all our lives for nothing?
Make a spark
Let it grow into a fire
Reaching others as you inspire.
Teach and learn lessons
Give and take back what you can
That should be a rule for all of man.
Life is a journey, a game
We are the players
Let’s love and cherish
Never letting that perish.

Whispers by MwsR

It’s a faint and yet fleeting sigh
When it enters your heart like a big surprise.
Tears can’t erase the echo you hear
When it’s the one you hold so dear.
Some say they know
Some say to listen hurts their hearts so.
The truth is they are unpredictable
The feelings are so compatible.
To listen to them surely takes courage
To keep wanting them as to save up in storage.
Whispers of a person’s hearts company
Take root or can just flee.
There’s no rhyme or reason
Sometimes just for a season.
Whispers of your heart, your soul, and through time
Can be yours and will be mine.

Souless by MwsR

Lost in an eternal bliss

Foe and friends are in this

Contracts are out on your soul

Things that are beyond your control

Soulless and restless go hand in hand

Space is abounding be it in heaven or in land

Empty, yet something occupies the gap in between

Nothing left to waiver, be it a common man or Queen.

Left To See, by MwsR(me)

Out in this big world

I often wonder where it is I fit

Where my life actually should be

I see vast skies of blues

And yet my eyes are caught in the wonder of them

Doesn’t even matter if I’m seeing the same sky again.

Fluffy clouds over my head

Things that drug me down, escape my thoughts, because of them.

Lots of roads to here or there

Nothing has my interest more than where they may lead

At night travels in the dark of night, arouss me

I find myself enjoying it the same, as in the daylight

Specks of light, I see

Where, and what could they be?

Seeing the vastness if our world

I find myself wanting to explore

Sometimes my curiosity actually leads my mind

Thankful in my heart, that not blind.

The Land of Nod

by Robert Louis Stevenson

The Land of Nod is from Robert Louis Stevenson’s collection, A Child’s Garden of Verses (1905).

An illustration for the story The Land of Nod by the author Robert Louis Stevenson
Dreamy Pixel, Dark Mountain Panorama, 2015
From breakfast on through all the day
At home among my friends I stay,
But every night I go abroad
Afar into the Land of Nod.

All by myself I have to go,
With none to tell me what to do—
All alone beside the streams
And up the mountain sides of dreams.

The strangest things are there for me,
Both things to eat and things to see,
And many frightening sights abroad
Till morning in the land of Nod.
Try as I like to find the way,
I never can get back by day,
Nor can remember plain and clear
The curious music that I hear.

True Life by MwsR

True life is never how the tv shows.

It’s more complicated than exposed.

In True life, there is a struggle

Day to day our lives we juggle.

True life is different from one day to the next,

It can start to feel sometimes like you’ve been hexed.

True life gives us love and loss, a lot

Seems time itself can’t be locked.

True life is powerful, poignant, and indiscriminative

It is weak, vulnerable, changing, and imaginative.

True life is a gift and yet can be an exchange,

IT is yours after all to rearrange.

Make of it what you will

Because in the end, it’s you that has to “pay the bill.”

Cynical, By MwsR

Things have certainly changed

Times that were easy, oh, how easily they become strained

Dreams that served aa a peaceful reminder

Have rapidly changed all my last hopes, with their slander

I feel so hopeless to the point of no return

My insides are in knots, from all the things, that never are overturned

There are faint whispers of this or that

Recent affections has even changed, in fact

Funny how people wrestle with their soul

For things that they think will make them whole

It is redundant to keep somethings going

Like a rollercoaster, we have rode a bunch, we already know all there is to be knowing

Cynicism is a protection mode

The one that we think can keep us whole

But it can’t, we have to feel and move through things

Even if terrible feelings remain.

If you cannot find a place to deal

There will demons in your head that will.
