Alone by MwsR

Alone is my plight

It has the might

It just construes

It consumes you

Alone is like a badge

To wear from past to present

It looks for me

Desperately changes things

Despite all the feelings

Alone is ever there.

It Hurts

It hurts, but I can’t bleed

My own feelings, that I hold down deep.

Love I hold, keeps me a prisoner

Those with boldness, destructors

Hurts like a boil, mine

Festers up each time

No escape, no reprieve

Why am I the only one who can see?

Perhaps my curse, their will is my stone

Even here in my own home.

Hurts

When life gets you down

And turns that smile into a frowns

When taking in criticisms you feel you are about to drown

I hope you know it hurts me too.

When all you want to do is flee

Things that hurt you bounce back to me

It is not as helpless as it seems

When you hurt, I do too.

Whenever silence takes a back seat

The world can be cruel and on your back it will try to beat

Don’t fall down, turn around with your feet

I will be there, whatever hurts you.

Hurts come in all strange ways

Falling from your heart strangling what we want to say

It is okay

Just know you are never alone.

Loneliness is atrocious,

What it does not take from you,

It taunts you with…

“look at those people with their sacred other”

“You don’t  deserve that, you know”,

It often says that, when you are feeling so very low.

It walks hand in hand with others like

The forgotten, the meek, the wounded in spirit.

Solitariness makes a person  different on the inside

While working to denude us of any other person

It puts a shield around us,

We can  become abject in a crowd.

Normal situations make us unquiet at best.

Being lonely for a long time,

Will make a person feel like they are in dire straights,

Like they are capitulating the idea of true fulfilled happiness.

Lonely is no place to be,

I don’t want it, even if I make a friend out of a tree.
