When you walk in the light, you have a shadow.
Although the shadow doesn’t define you, you still have it.
Just like a shadow,we each have something that follows us. It does not have to define us.
We can choose to stay in the “light” and learn from our shadows.

In the dark lurks a shadow
It is not cordial to say the least.
It will rob you of your peace and mind
And slowly on them it will feast.
Light does not come close to touching it
It will sneak and hide away,
It always returns,
Especially at the end of the day.
No circumstance will help you
No help you will find
When in the shadows it waits
One day or another time.
You need to come to terms with it
Deal with it in your own way
Don’t try to ignore it
It will never go away.
WE all have those shadows
In real life that manifest
If left undealt with they will grow
Slowly your hope they will ingest.

Remnants of pain
Scars of mistakes
Debts that you can’t escape
Patterns that have been repeated
Crosses that we must bear
Promises that we have shared
Forgiveness that isn’t deserved
But given despite that
In our hearts is where this is at
Courage to continue
Thoughts and changes
They bring about exchanges
Shadows don’t define our real person
They merely show us some parts of us
You can change your shadows
You can make a different one

Change, redefine and renew
When we keep things foremost in our life they control our thoughts. So i f we redirect our thoughts,our lives, and learn to forgive ourselves we can have a better life.
