Poem- Behind Those Glances, by MwsR

Behind Those Glances. By MwsR

Behind those glances
And second chances
A person’s heart can feel your thoughts.
Beyond the exterior criticism,
There is still a delicate prism,
To their soul.
Between the right and wrong they’ve done
There is a hurt loved one.
Below their guilt and shame,
Lies pieces of a shattered frame.
A piece that fell this way and that
Some people won’t take time to find where they’re at.
Beside their conscience, they keep in touch with day to day,
It is their own deep prison they create that keeps them this way.
Because that one person took a second glance,
And gave them a second chance,
They will rise back up
Their hearts will start to pump.
By the way, you treat them now,
Will dictate theirs how.
Believe in them once more
Time to be a forgiver of the mistakes they once bore.
Life is an ever-changing thing
Try not to make it sting.

Poem- Truth by MwsR

Truth by MwsR

If I looked better than I do now
The world would still let me drown.
If I made lots of friends not foes
True friends would be all I know.
If I lived in a nice place
It couldn’t change what’s not erased.
If time stayed still for me
The heartache would still be.
If my waist was fit and trim
I’d still see through this person created film.
It does matter what we think is enough
It’s not what the world thinks and all their stuff.
To be true to who you are
Will eventually recover every scar.
Let yourself be and be happy
It’s a poem about realism and isn’t sappy.

Stones

By MwsR

Two stones, similar yet different

Their start comes the same way, their paths differ

Different paths, yet similar lives

Waiting to be carried or directed in another way.

They don’t know where they’ll end up

Yet hopeful, they stay strong

Only wanting to find where they belong.

Paths they travel are not going to cross each others all the time

But time keeps them mesmerized by the same desire

One day at the end, after all has been

They will finally get their last ”hoorah”

Their journey, done at last.

And they forever know their place.

Poem(Why) by MwsR

Why…by MwsR
It can hurt,
It’s unbearable for sure
The heartbreak one individual has to endure.
Sudden it can come
The very thing we find ourselves running to escape
That part of life that becomes our fate.
Turning a corner
In search of relief for just a while or two
If you don’t find it soon it will tear you into.
Putting faith in things that don’t matter
Things that are useless and void
Instead of being smart and unmoved we let ourselves stay annoyed.
Why must we let our own selves down
When we don’t need to, ever.
We can’t live like this forever.

Poem (Peace)by MwsR

Peace.✌✌..for you

When you’ve done the best you can
And never shamed another man
Peace is yours.
When you’ve given to those in need
And in love, made them believe
Peace will be yours.
When in the wrong you’ve apologized
And are able to learn from others being agonized
Peace shall be yours.
When at your knees you humbly fall
And risking ridicule for it all
Peace should be yours.
When others leave you
And yet you stay true
Peace is inside of you.

Peace there is nothing more needed in our lives.

Poem

It
by MwsR

It walks with me,
Grabs hold gently.
Used to be like someone caged me
Sometimes it lets me free.
I carry it through conversations,
Long walks and family invitations.
I put it to rest each night
Only to see it sometimes at first light.
Like shoes go on our feet,
It has a place, a name like a street.
When I revisit with my past
It is durable and there as if to last.
Familiar turf and strategic game
There is a part that will always remain.
Not everyone knows about it
Not everyone sees each little bit
The best one it possibly can be
It is the memory, the pain, the life, and me.

Choices, by MwsR

Choices…
Ah, there is so much to say about them.

Choices You Make by MwsR

Whether to go or to stay
Would you be better off anyway?
Knowing what you should do but choosing to ignore
Hope that one day you won’t be on the wrong side of the door.
Trapped in your own accord and deeds
Waiting for that perfect stage where you won’t bleed.
One way forward but ways that are different
Knowing it is where you will meet your intent.
Choosing to be careless
It will show that you’re reckless.
One day you won’t have a say
It will be on judgment day.
There are two judgments one on earth and one in heaven.
The one of earth can’t keep your eternal soul
But the one in heaven can and that’s where you want it to go.

Poem ~ Perspective of the One left Behind by MwsR

When I think of you, it includes a lot of questions, so there!

Questions like “Why?” and “What Happened?”, “Was it really so unfair?”

Why is it that life proved so hard for you to bear?

I have had my share of things that weigh on my heart

Things that might, a lesser man, tear all apart.

I chose to stay

Learned it is okay to walk away.

Refused to be the one who never sees the sun again

The one who makes new friends

I chose to live and trudge right through,

Even when it gets neck high, which it often can do.

It got so hard a lot of times

But I turned that negativity around, if not it would of been a crime

A life given is an opportunity to impact,

How can you do that if you only “subtract”?

I will never be that far down, if the good Lord is willing

I will get rid of the blemishes, and all that is lacking

I wish I could of helped you, if you had been near me, possibly I would had

Instead, I found out, from the grieving relatives you made sad.

There was a feeling of helplessness, a feeling of shame

Because in a sense, our society is to blame

It takes a person’s walls and helps to make them taller

Society will make a person feel so much smaller

We walk by those of us that suffer and feel no sense of obligation

It is no longer help a neighbor, but turn the other way, leave someone in stagnation

Shame on us all, shame on the world.

Break the silence, break the stigma, help those who suffer, who feel alone

Or else this world will change so far from what we all know.

People will die and chose not to survive

If we don’t help give them a reason to live.
