Poem ( In Acknowledgement of Earth Day)

Our Earth by MwsR

Years upon years

Day after day

Nothing stays

Somethings change

Some will break

Underneath it all forms an earthquake

Rushing streams

Slow rivers that roll

Mountainous valleys down below

Pristine waterfalls

Underneath it all lies hidden caves

Curious pilgrims

Lazy patrons

Enjoying life and all its glory

Energetic people exploring

Beneath the displayed hills we all can rise.

Lack of notice

Moments in haste

Falling trash that lies in all places

Fires that aren’t kept up

These things diminish it and us.

Not only do we hurt or help

We can disintegrate it all by ourselves

One time is all it sometimes takes

To mess up our world for future sake.

We should protect this wondrous place

Instilling values directed toward our children

Correcting wrongs that others have done

Putting rules and laws in place to ensure justice for our earth.

This is our one world, our one habitat, our gift.

We should treat it as such.

Victoria Falls, locally called Mosi-oa-Tunya for “The Smoke that Thunders”, is on River Zambezi along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Two national parks lie within the area around the falls. As one of the largest waterfalls in the world, the falls spray River Zambezi forest thus giving it “rainfall” 24 hours a day. During the full moon at sunset, the moon’s reflection on the water forms a rainbow (“moonbow”).

Genes Traits You May Not Know You Have

If you’re a redhead, you didn’t just get your ginger locks from your parents—you also got this inherited trait: an ability to withstand stinging pain better than blondes and brunettes. In a series of studies, Danish researchers at Aalborg University injected subjects with capsaicin, the active component of chili, and found that redheads were less sensitive to this type of pain. Because of this, they can better tolerate spicy foods as well as the discomfort of a pinprick. Other research, however, suggests that the world’s 2 percent of redheads are more sensitive to cold and less responsive to injected forms of anesthesia. No matter the color, here are 30 tips for healthier, more attractive hair.
