Great Love

Great love is hard to define

You have your own version and I have mine

If ever one could make a dream of theirs come true

They would probably have the greatest love included, wouldn’t you?

Love that is great has to be lasting,

Able to withstand all  circumstances and living

It would be more powerful than any other” heart note”

I would be so much more than any human has ever wrote.

Without this great love, I think all hope would be daunting

I could see people getting exhausted and left longing

Feelings would not be any more powerful than what one could physically see

If there is any hope, there has to a love like that for me.

RAKA award/Random Acts of Kindness

Random_Acts_Logo-296x300
Hey All!
This week I am sending out the award I made, the RAKA award, the random act of kindness award.
I came up with this award because so many of us are touched by random acts of kindness, and they are worth mentioning.
All through life we encounter people who for no apparent reason help us, or extend a hand when needed. Some do it directly and some do it indirectly.
Rules are posted on original award post, but here is a recap.
1- copy or paste image for reward on your post.
2- Write a paragraph on a random act of kindness, either you saw, was given to you, or you have done. It is okay to spread the love people. You don’t have to name specific names or whatever but tell us about it.
3- Share this award and link to original post or tag the person who nominated you.
4- If you should want to do this then you can leave an open ended invitation, or personally tag others.
5- Pictures are a good share to, if you have pictures to share a random act of kindness, that is great!

We Forget/ poem share by MwsR

We Forget

In self-inflicted blindness we forget all the ones that are in pain

Then we turn and look over our shoulders never accepting the blame.

Onward we keep going, forever clueless in our own little bubble

Looks like we should access while we are down in the rumble,

But we don’t and then we deceive ourselves into thinking that all is right,

Even when we toss and turn way into the night.

What is it that makes a person truly at peace?

Is it knowing that others we can deceive, if they only believe?

It’s like a game of chance that we are willing to partake of

Not caring who we step on or who we shove.

Selfish we enter this world, selfish we leave it.

It’s not just me thinking this and you better believe it.

Why can’t we stop fooling ourselves,

Stop hurting others because they let us, themselves.

We need to acknowledge that we all play a part in this world together.

God didn’t create us to be alone, especially forever.

To care about others we give parts of ourselves away,

For as long as it takes, maybe a year, maybe for just a day.

Anyone worthy of love, is worth the learning

When others come first , in actuality we come alongside them.

No, we can’t be always good or right, but we can bring things up and together, just like a seamstress’ hem.

This award was created by me, Mws R for the sole purpose of connecting people who have had something shown to them, or gave to them that expresses a kind and loving nature, perhaps a kind and loving heart, or a wonderful spirit.

My hopes in creating this was so that we all can share, unite, and rejuvenate our heart of giving. I am hoping that is spreads like a wild-fire and we all find some sense of love, unity and sharing out of it all.

Effort, poem by MwsR/Poem Share

F A L L I N G…

…Like leaves during a burst of wind on a new fall day

Too hurt though standing

With not much left to say

Thawing inside from the brutal words

That came from your frozen heart

Nothing can comfort the frost bite I have already

Is it too late, or am I not ready

Like dew that forms on a still blade of grass

I often see myself as coming up last

Trying hard though, in spite of it all

Helplessly wandering,

Never towering, but  just very small

Like rain before a hurricane, I give a good effort

Even knowing that the storms will come

That is always a good beginning

At least, it is something

Oh, the things that plague me the most

They are the good intentions that sometimes go array

Falling to the wayside unattended

As if I had nothing left to say

Oh, if effort could really be all one needs

Things could certainly be different,

At least, for me.

Time, by MwsR/ Poem Share

low angle photo of tower

Taken back>

Scrounging forward

Frozen in time>

Thawing from the lies

Happy in memories>

Sad in the truth

Alone in this journey>

Together in the pain

Wallowing in yesterdays>

Letting go for more tomorrows.

Excerpt From my book, “Heart Paths”

This poem that I am going to share is about the times when perhaps you cross another’s mind. It basically is saying that if you don’t care, don’t think about me.

I was shunned by my own family, after many years of conflict, many years of them looking the other way, yet finding ways to make my home life miserable.

I love this “matter of fact” poem. It is one of my own favorites.

Hope you enjoy!

Don’t Think About Me

Each time when I happen to cross your mind

Think of just what you’ve left behind

Think of all the day that’s gone

And how much time I’ve been alone

Each picture that was once so proudly displayed

Now are hidden and tucked away

There is not a memory around now of me

Just the thoughts in your mind that simply just go round

Each word or mention of me in passing

“Ducking” from all the questioning

What to say about decisions made

Because in your heart so heavily they’ve laid

Each tear that was shed was it from regret?

Or was it self-pity that you wanted to get?

Shame, how time changes some men

Kind of scary to think you’ve forgotten about the sin

Each family event that you have planned

One less family member to get the upper hand

Time has a way of showing whose true

Again I’m sorry that it couldn’t be you

So each time I am in your head

Remember it was away from you I was led

Don’t think about me

If only actions was all it would have taken

For me not to has felt forsaken

Don’t, just don’t, think about me

I’m in charge of my life can’t you see?

Each thing I’ve not forgotten

Each word I have memorized

Each step from you and you’re still surprised!

Don’t think about me.

Thunder and Lightning/ poem share

imageShe was never fond of thunder

Loved lightning only from a far distance

Yet he was like both thunder and lightning.

Strong and poignant

Reckless and sure

His love  became her cure.

Only one thing would light up her heart.

It had been him right from the start.

More passionate than tame

He was the fire to her flame.

Inhibited with him she’d be

Even giving up her chance to be free.

It was him and her

The ultimate “we”,

Until that summer late January.

He was on his way to work

He cut his wrist, the blood started to squirt.

He had played with his knife on many of days,

Maybe he shouldn’t of drifted in the way

The semi didn’t see him in time

He lost control and then jack knifed.

The impact was hard as stone

From the lips of a cop, she was suddenly alone.

No more thunder,

No lighting bolts asunder

She couldn’t find her own strength anymore,

Instead she just collapsed upon the floor.

She lost her heart and then her life

If only, he hadn’t opened his knife!
