Inside by MwsR

Twisted to suit certain situations

Often missing out on celebrations

Too much contemplation of negative means

Nervous so often of trivial things

Belief is as far as it always has been

No trust yet still in men

Friendly but friendless

Helpful but still helpless

Inside it stays

Displaying on the outside in frays.

More Than This! Poem by MwsR

So many people are focused right now

To the virus that is sweeping through the town

The focus is only to remain free

From all the germs and infectious seeds

Instead of concentrating on their eternal soul

They worry over physical things, I’m told

Never give much mind

To the eternal part, they are so blind.

Sure, noone wants to be sick and poor

Noone wants to suffer anymore

Sadly, the eternal life we can get

Takes a back seat to all the fret

No one looks into their soul’s demise

Plans for the inevitable last day, they remain so blind

Think about the everlasting, the eternal home

Take guard against the enemies of the soul

Greed, lust, envy, and more

Our life will not end on this earth’s shore

We will have a place to go,

It will be a heavenly one or a fiery hole.

Prepare, don’t despair

More in this life than what we have to bare.

More than this!

Poem

Journey Till, by MwsR

Twisted, in knots of which way to go?
You are not alone in this thinking, you know.

Forward just a little, but backward always just a little more.
Forgotten ideas pour out on your mind’s big floor.

Fantastic was the beginning,
For such a fragile, complicated thing.

Decisions that will impact the journey for you.
Still uncertain of what to do?

Closed minds cannot give admittance for great things,
It is time you free yourself from your chains.

Expand your possibilities
To eliminate your negativity.

Journey till you can go no more,
Then you will have all your looking for.

Poem

Change, by MwsR

When the time comes that you reflect over your life and things you’ve done

Will you see someone smart or someone dumb?

Those things you thought were fun,

The things that you swore hurt no one.

Were they worth it?

Were they proper or were they like that of a nitwit?

Are the ones that stood with you now standing apart?

You already know the answer because it is deep in your heart.

Time can’t erase certain deeds, certain paths you chose, the things left undone,

You can’t blame that on anyone.

Certain people let you down, you say

I’m certain they would not see it that way!

No one controls your spontaneous combustion,

It is certainly your life, not theirs that needs constant adjustment.

Go ahead smell all those “roses”,

Hang around all those that constantly poses,

But when that gets old or you find some other venue

Maybe you will see what you’ve put those that love you through.

It’s hard to be happy when you’re playing catch up all the time

Trust me, I’ve seen that with friends of mine.

Think before you act

Always leave things intact.

Don’t refuse to pay back anyone who’s lent you a hand

Take the praise and the reprimand.

Swallow your pride,

Keep your mouth closed from the inside.

Listen to reason,

Be willing to change the wrong things just like the months change the season.

“And you will be a man, my son.” (If, by Rudyard Kipling”)

Poem

Rest Some
By MwsR

Can’t seem to fix it
Nothing can
It’s the spot within yourself you can’t stand.
Tried so many different ways
To stand above it
Yet silently you were sinking.
In desperate times
Truth rears it’s head
What makes a man, is constant dread.
No magical beans to help you escape
The turmoil you find when you hesitate.
There should be a trigger, a warning sign
But sadly none that controls your whole mind.
When fallen, you attempted to rise
There is no limit to your disguise
You try the truth but allow the lies.
Just one step you took so long ago into the wrong way
You can’t escape the effects, no how, no way.
Until you stop yourself from shirking your responsibilities.
Your endless torment of “what use to be’s.”
So gather up your strength, your battle scars
Things are seldom how you feel they are.
Put one foot then follow with another one
Till your back where you wanted and can rest some.

Poem

Love Is a Gift

If someone can love you through the years
Catch most of your falling tears,
Help bad things seem not so bad
Forgives you even when you make them mad
Shares with you their dreams and wishes
Helps you put away the dishes
Listens when you need them to
That’s the one who’ll be real and true.
Cherish them
Forgive them
Hold their hand for apparently no occasion
Sport them like the latest fashion.
Love can be great
Take time to appreciate it.
Make a world for them to stay in
Not a mess that hurts deep within.
You’ll be much happier, stronger, and tall
When you help them succeed instead of fall.
Love is a gift
And the people that give it.

UPSIDE Down Grin,
MwsR

Seems the world won’t stop turning
Despite the various places where things seem to just drown.
The place where you can’t see but wish to have an upside-down frown.
Constant grief, and disappointment
Nothing certain for sure, no commitment.
For some, despite their best effort their heart stays torn.
Underneath the Hubble, they have just doubt to keep them warm.
Chained to a burden so huge it can’t be moved…
Yet desperately they seek that very thing, to defuse.
How does one unchain their grief and pain?
Do they have to stumble so often and there remain?
Often time we visualize our paths in life,
But how quickly it passes when it crashes into your heart like a knife.
Embarking they find themselves, yet again,
Unto the very things that took such a tragic, solidified end.
The charm of life is in that one or two moments you feel whole again
If that’s even possible without the right side up a grin.

Poem

They say,
In time you’re going to forget about it
But,
You find you can’t
They say,
If you are having a bad day, turn it around
But,
All you feel is down
They say,
Smile so others feel better
But,
What if you are the one needing to.
They say,
Live and let live
But,
Everything that’s done impacts one another in some fashion.
They say,
If the shoe fits, wear it
But,
They don’t understand that all shoes aren’t created equal.
They say,
Who are the “they” anyway?
But,
Why do we listen if we don’t know it to be the truth?
I say
Every situation varies, every person is different
Because
That is something that I know.
