For most you find a pattern on your path. It could be a path with gravel that someone else has spread there, in relation to your own life this is the obstacles and people that make your life hard. Most paths are simple and  it is easy to stay off of the edge, where danger or destruction is.

In life we are following various paths. Sometimes there are obstacles to climb along the way. Perhaps that is the only way to continue your path in life. There will also be very tight places along that path that you must find a way to go through. Your belly may feel like it is tied up in knots at what you are facing. Don’t fret! You have the choice to trim away what is bothering you, or in other words, shorten the time you feel bad, and you can continue to move on. There will be days you feel very low but then there will be days where everything seems to go right.

That is the way of a person’s life path. You can stay “off the grass”   or you can chance it and have the water spray you in the face.

No one Came/poem

There I was all by myself

I had to always keep my words on a hidden shelf.

No one to talk with, while bearing it all alone.

Oh there was you, but it was so unhealthy and wrong.

I wondered when my prince charming would come,

Sadly, they lived only in fairy tales.

I felt no self-worth, but shame was my middle name.

I cried at night, my pillow kept my tears.

You snuck by ever so often to see me.

I hid under covers pretending to dream.

Dreams, ha, I had none.

Because of the rude awakening you gave, and then some.

No one heard my painful screams

I soon became a meg shift screen,

Filtering what I could just to make it through.

No one came, not day or night.

I had to crawl or learn to fight.

I fought, all on my own

No one to turn to, not even at home.

Till one day a person inquired on me

Asked me things like I could not believe.

They told me things at home was wrong

Expressed how God loved me, even while not at my best.

They said they knew, without me saying a word.

Told me to let my burden go.

Deal with what I could and never grow cold.

I listened to them and started trusting again.

No one came during the dark part of my life,

But now what used to cut me like a knife,

Seared my fear, helped it close.

– I found when no one came, I had to finally  finish what was done.

No one can stop me now.

LEGEND/ FOWC July 15th word prompt challenge

https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/79388113/posts/1924931438

THIS IS COPIED FROM FOWC ONE WORD PROMPT

Welcome to July 15, 2018 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “legend.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

LEGEND

There was so much more to him than anyone knew

He carried himself with such dignity and assuredness.

Proud on the outside but yet humble in spirit.

His ethics were his stronghold.

He was tall and dark headed

Simple, yet handsome.

He gave all he had into anything he did.

Trying hard for the one’s he loved

He was a legend to his family

But more importantly to his generations to come.

Just because of all he was and all he had done.

Song Share”Angel”/ Did You Know?

I SO LOVE THIS SONG! HOPE YOU WILL TOO!

Angel,  by Sara Mclachlin

Here is what I found out this song was suppose to mean…
  • McLachlan wrote this about a drug-addict’s struggles with the world. The “angel” symbolizes the drugs the addict gives in to repeatedly. >>

    Holly – Pensacola, FL
  • As McLachlan explained on VH1 Storytellers, this song is about the Smashing Pumpkins touring keyboard player Jonathan Melvoin, who overdosed on heroin and died in 1996. McLachlan didn’t know him and was never a heavy drug user herself, but when she read about his death in Rolling Stone, she felt a connection, as she had just come off two years on the road where “there’s nothing constant but everything becomes the same.”
  • On the same Storytellers show, McLachlan said that this song only took a few hours to write, stating it was a “very easy labor.” >>

    Suggestion credit:
Stacy – Sunbury, Australia, for above 2
  • This is the song McLachlan’s fans ask her about the most, and the one many seem to relate to. “I have the same real, visceral attachment to it that that they do,” she told the Charlotte Observer. “It was one of those beautiful songs, for me, that came out quickly and easily. I felt like more of a conduit. There wasn’t all that blood, sweat and tears attached to it. It just kind of happened. Those are blissful moments that seldom happen for me as a songwriter.”
  • This was used in the 1998 movie City of Angels during a pivotal scene. McLachlan said this was the best use of any of her songs in a TV series or movie. >>

    Suggestion credit:
    Jamie – Alameda, CA
  • The song has had enduring popularity and has been used in a number of different ways, with some uses (such as in a child memorial) misconstruing the lyrics. McLachan said during a Reddit AMA that she doesn’t mind that it gets used in so many different ways. “I think once an artist puts a song out there, it becomes open to interpretation, and I purposefully leave a certain amount of ambiguity in songs so that people can relate the songs to themselves and to their stories,” she said.

“And it’s for me, it’s a great validation as an artist to know that something I’ve created has gone out there in the world and helped people to heal, or to feel something, in a profound way like that.”

  • This is the song at soundtracks those ubiquitous ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) commercials that have been running since 2007. The spots are a serious downer, showing frightened and abused animals in slow motion interspersed with messages like “they suffer alone and terrified.” They often come on late at night when TV stations donate unsold advertising time to charity, so you could be enjoying an old movie in the wee hours when suddenly you’re looking at a caged kitty that seems to be crying for help. Many change the channel.

A bane of insomniacs, the spots nonetheless proved incredibly effective, generating over $30 million dollars in donations. They also inextricably linked McLachlan, who appears in some of the spots, with abused dogs and cats.

When she made the commercial, she didn’t think it would be a very big deal; she simply donated a few hours of her time and use of her song. And while she supports the cause, she isn’t as passionate about it as many believe. “I love animals as much as the next person, but if I really wanted to attach myself to something, it would be kids and education,” she told the Charlotte Observer in 2015. She also admits that she can’t watch the spots.

Excerpt from my book, “Heart Stones”

Hello,

https://www.amazon.com/HeartStones-Mws-R/dp/1387356887

This is one of my poems from my book of poems, entitled, “Heart Stones”. You can purchase it from Amazon.com or Lulu.com. One thing to remind of oyuo is that my name, the author’s name is put like this….Mws R. It is broke into with the “R” being the last name. I have had people tell me it is hard to search for my books because the way they were entering my name.

This poem I wrote because someone I love was going down a path of self-destruction. They were making wrong choices and their life was spinning out of control. Instead of planning for their own future, they were living in the moment, the not so good moments that they had chosen for themselves.

If you know of someone struggling and you have prayed for them, cared for them, and you have done all you can, this is a poem for you and possibly them.

Please Try…by MwsR

The pit of my stomach wants to give you more chances

Despite all the critical onlooker’s glances.

They think there is no hope for you

Cover for HeartStones
Heart Stones

Yet they don’t love or hope for you like I do.

I am so scared to let you lie to me again

I am afraid my forgiveness will fail here towards the end.

I hurt for you

All those plans and things might not come true,

Th telling you I love you is simple

But trusting you is hard and cumbersome, like water with a ripple,

it would appear to be in control

But really is struggling, you know.

Inside each of person we need to decide whether importance is given to unimportant things

And if along the road it will be worth all the pains.

Sometimes in a brief second, I catch glances of times past.

In my heart what I want is for good times to last.

Sadly, it is not in my hands.

I have given you all my demands.

Yet you shrugged and then walked away

Seems tears are all that came from that day

I fall to my kneel and constantly pray.

Maybe one more day, maybe one more start.

Or maybe it will stay heavy  on my heart.

Please try!

You know why.

There are more poems in my book that I hope you will find you can relate to.

Please get yourself a book , possibly give as a gift to someone who may need encouragement or simply to feel that they are not alone.

Thanks for reading!
