The Love Of A Good Dog…by MwsR

I will always smell, for your smell

And always check on you, to make sure you are well

If you don’t mind I would like to lay in your lap a moment or two

To show you all the love I have for you

We will go for walks

We will have our ”talks”

Friends that became family is what we will be

Nothing will be able to separate us, not even a sea

I hope you always see

How inseparable we will be

Just you and me.

Poem- Behind Those Glances, by MwsR

Behind Those Glances. By MwsR

Behind those glances
And second chances
A person’s heart can feel your thoughts.
Beyond the exterior criticism,
There is still a delicate prism,
To their soul.
Between the right and wrong they’ve done
There is a hurt loved one.
Below their guilt and shame,
Lies pieces of a shattered frame.
A piece that fell this way and that
Some people won’t take time to find where they’re at.
Beside their conscience, they keep in touch with day to day,
It is their own deep prison they create that keeps them this way.
Because that one person took a second glance,
And gave them a second chance,
They will rise back up
Their hearts will start to pump.
By the way, you treat them now,
Will dictate theirs how.
Believe in them once more
Time to be a forgiver of the mistakes they once bore.
Life is an ever-changing thing
Try not to make it sting.

Quote

“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.”

Life

Life sweeps in on ya from the side

Better hold on it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Take things that scare you and put the fear to strengthen you

Learn all you can, let go off what preys on your mind, too

Step out of the way of strife and greed

Give to all what you can, especially those in dire need.

Keep your morals in your mind and on your heart

These things are great to have from the very start.

Judge not lest you are held on those same standards of measure

Hold dear to things that matter and things you treasure.

Remember lessons learnt and things that make good sense.

Especially when people often give you a fake pretense.

Life can bring with it beauty and blessings

Look for those and you’ll have a happy ending.

Tips to Simply Life With Kids

Here are a few tips for living simply with kids:

  • Homeschool — or, in my case, unschool
  • Use public transportation, walk or ride bikes
  • Ditch the television and play games instead
  • Get a family pet from a local shelter
  • Encourage your kids to journal and draw daily
  • Make community service a weekly activity
  • Shop locally to keep dollars in your community
  • Keep a garden and raise chickens
  • Visit thrift stores instead of buying new
  • Sponsor a child in a third world country
  • Visit the library frequently

REALLY DIDN’T KNOW *BY MwsR

“Some of God’s greatest gifts are UNANSWERED prayers.”🎶

I have slowly realized this as I age. Notice I wrote age not get old…lol
I sometimes contemplate my whole life, the good, the bad, the unpredictable, the messy, the sadness, and pain, the joy, the same, and it is overwhelming at times.
Much of what I thought I wanted, I really didn’t. Much of what I thought I needed, more than not, it was not true.
Why do we presume that we can control our lives in every facet? Do we not know from past times and lots of “do-overs”, we can’t!
I guess the important lesson we should take from this is, that taking one step forward sometimes is all we can do and wanting something doesn’t mean we need it.
Learn to let yourself off the hook because there is no way we know what all we really need nor do we know what is always best for us. We are bound to mess up. We are going to seek the wrong things at times. That is just our nature.
Trust that there is an Almighty power at work in this life. Look to him for your answers.

True Life by MwsR

True life is never how the tv shows.

It’s more complicated than exposed.

In True life, there is a struggle

Day to day our lives we juggle.

True life is different from one day to the next,

It can start to feel sometimes like you’ve been hexed.

True life gives us love and loss, a lot

Seems time itself can’t be locked.

True life is powerful, poignant, and indiscriminative

It is weak, vulnerable, changing, and imaginative.

True life is a gift and yet can be an exchange,

IT is yours after all to rearrange.

Make of it what you will

Because in the end, it’s you that has to “pay the bill.”
