How is everyone doing? I am doing fair. I really can’t complain. I can breathe, can walk, can talk, and can eat. Those thing are important, right?
I just wanted to touch base with all my followers, readers, etc. I am staying busy trying to find those zucchini recipes since I have had a most plentiful zucchini harvest. I am extremely proud of it. I also have an abundance of cucumbers, which I love so that is good. I wish you could freeze cucumbers though since I am afraid some will go bad before I get a chance to eat them all. Anyone else out there that has a garden? If you do what do you most enjoy about it? I enjoy the fact it is saving me money, and it is convenient.
I am enjoying the time spent with my grandkids and I can learn a lot from watching them, with their excitement for things and their desire to play. We all could, We need to spend much more time enjoying things ourselves. Perhaps cutting off the television, and taking a stroll outside to see the wonderous nature we can enjoy. It was created for our enjoyment. Since I never know what tomorrow will hold for me, and neither do you, we should make the most of our tomorrows and our todays.
I think that there are numerous things we can do to benefit our own lives. Enjoying our world is one! Don’t you agree?
So I guess that is all I have for today, it is a rainy day here, where I am. Not much else to do but write and think, for me, at least. Hope you all know how much I appreciate your follows, likes, comments, and shares, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Been practicing making, dyeing, and laying Fondant for my daughter’s wedding cake.
I never knew how simple it is. My husband has the strong hands with which to work it. Thank goodness for that.
He is making her a three-tier wedding cake. Her colors are red and green. We are going to make it tied the looking. She wants it to match her dress. It will also be an outdoor wedding which requires careful planning, as to the manner of, how to keep the cake from melting. This is why we choose to make fondant. Hopefully it will hold up way better than frosting or icing.
I can’t wait to see the finished product. The inside will be tied dyed looking too. It will be great.
I will show photos of it when finished. Hopefully. She is getting married on Wednesday. So I might not post a lot. Please forgive me for that. I am also making the food, so I will be busy, to say the least.
Exciting time here.
17, 15, and 10 1/2 inch zucchini. I am getting some huge zucchini this year.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and will have a productive and great week ahead. I just wanted to touch base with you all and write some things for share.
I have been busy ! I have been planting, starting seedlings and watching things grow. I have also been preparing my garden area and my flower beds for the productive summer ahead. I love working with the dirt beneath my feet. It is so rewarding for me. Like therapy, in a way, working with dirt makes me happy. Although I am not as young as I feel I wish m body would cooperate better. Ha ha Getting older is fine but I want to do it gracefully.
I really like the fact that I get to share things that interest me on my webpage and blog. It is rewarding for me as well. I love knowing that there are readers out there that value what I write about or post on my site. It How great is that opportunity? To have something that benefits others, is awesome! I am hoping that I get better and better with my webpage and I hope to have more followers, more comments on my stuff, and more exciting things happen.
Life can be good for us. It is encouraging to me to know that I can add value to someone’s life. No, I do not have to personally know you but I hope to be someone who you like to follow and read from. I want to give that extra something to whomever it is that takes the time to include my stuff, my posts, my pages, in their days.
So, in closing I want to wish you all a good and happy life. I shall see you this side of the rainbow!!!!
For those that celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to announce this is my 203 day of daily posting. Yay me!
Also I am glad to see more followers, and I hope more will come. Thanks for all those who comment, follow, and share my posts. I really appreciate it.
Although I do not necessarily follow any pattern I do like to keep all of my different interests posting. I work hard to find interesting and helpful things to share with you all.
I am busy trying to get things together for our gift giving and celebrations at my house and my brother in laws. We go to his house on Christmas Eve and of course we are my house on Christmas Day. It is fun and taxing all in the same accord.Seems like we all prepare for about 20 minutes of unwrapping gifts. The time it takes to buy, wrap and share, goodness!
I hope everyone has love and comfort, healing and transitioning, wellness and support.
I shall see you on this side of the rainbow, again!
A new clinical study found a daily low-dose aspirin had no effect on prolonging life in healthy, elderly people. USA TODAY
If you are a healthy older person and take a low-dose aspirin every day, it may be more harmful than you think.
A large clinical trial involving participants in Australia and the United States found a daily low-dose aspirin had no effect on prolonging life in healthy, elderly people. It also showed a higher rate of suffering from a major hemorrhage.
Over a four-year span starting in 2010, the trial enrolled more than 19,000 people in Australia and the U.S. who were 70 and older, or 65 for African-American and Hispanic participants because their risks of dementia or cardiovascular disease are higher. Also, the participants did not have cardiovascular disease, dementia or a physical disability.
Roughly half of participants were given 100 mg of low-dose aspirin, while the rest were given a placebo.
The results showed the aspirin had no impact on whether people would suffer from dementia or a disability. The trial found 90.3 percent of the people who took aspirin remained alive with no persistent physical disability or dementia, compared with 90.5 percent of people on the placebo. Rates of people who suffered from disability and dementia were nearly the same.
Internet users often turn to their mobile devices to access the internet. Millennial internet users, for example, spent an average of 185 minutes on mobile internet services every day in 2016. Generation X internet users’ average daily use of mobile internet stood at 110 minutes that year. Many companies have been profiting from the increased mobile usage by following a mobile-first strategy and optimizing their content for mobile devices. Some of the most popular mobile internet activities are using email, working, social networking, online search, online video and online shopping. Instant messaging is also popular among mobile internet users worldwide. WhatsApp is the most popular mobile messaging app in the world with one billion monthly active users. Facebook Messenger closely follows with 900 million monthly active users. Facebook was found to be the leading social network with 1.7 billion active users. Other popular social networks include Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr, as well as mobile chat apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or WeChat.
WordPress Usage Statistics That Will Make Your Jaw Drop
As we are sure you will soon agree, the stats below are nothing if not impressive. To paint as accurate a picture as possible, we tried to include the most current statistics. If not stated otherwise, all numbers are from 2016.
1. WordPress powers almost 27 percent of the entire internet.
As already stated in the beginning, WordPress is by far the most popular CMS on the web. However, you might not be aware just how popular the platform has become.
First of all, its market share among all content management systems is close to 60 percent. What’s more, its closest competitor Joomla (here is a comparison of the two CMS) is used by only 6.3 percent. Yes, that’s the second most popular content management system in the world!
2. WordPress sites around the world publish 24 posts per second.
You read that right. In 2016, blogs that are part of the WordPress network (meaning blogs hosted either on WordPress.com or externally hosted WordPress sites that have the Jetpack plugin installed) published on average 24 blog posts per second. That comes down to 1,481 blog posts per minute, 88,888 in an hour and just above 2.13 million per day. And that’s not counting those sites for which WordPress cannot collect any statistics.
To get a better impression of what this looks like, WordPress.com offers a map that lets you see updates around the world in real-time. You can find it here.
It appears that all of that activity is paying off, resulting in massive traffic. For this year alone, blogs in the WordPress network have garnered a combined average of 22.17 billion page views per month. That’s three times as many as there are people on the planet! Let that sink in for a minute.
4. WordPress blogs receive 46.6 million comments per month.
And man are those visitors a talkative bunch. Each month of this year produced on average 46.6 million comments. Looks like there are some fierce discussions going on out there. Plus, these are legitimate comments, which made it through the spam protection, mind you.
If the Akismet stats are any indication, the number of spam comments generated at the same time is about 30 times higher. That means besides the legitimate comments WordPress blogs receive every month, they get bombarded by 1.4 billion spammers at the same time. Jeez!
5. There are 2.7 million global monthly searches for WordPress.
Seeing the amount of data WordPress.com alone can handle, it is unsurprising that WordPress is so popular and continues to garner attention. The platform’s growing esteem is also reflected in its Google searches.
In the United States alone, “WordPress” as a keyword receives 450,000 search requests every month. Globally that number is up to 2.7 million. That’s not even taking into account people looking for “WordPress templates,” “WordPress plugins,” and other WordPress-centric information. Overall, WordPress-related terms (including those for “wp,” a common abbreviation for WordPress) receive somewhere between 10 and 100 million global searches every month.
As for how the platform stacks up against its competitors: Google Trends sees WordPress 5.5 times more popular than Joomla and almost nine times more in demand than Drupal. Seems like the WordPress usage statistics will only continue to grow.
