Poem( diabetes)

Words To My Diabetes
By MwsR

Don’t intrude on my life
I want to be the best mother and wife.

Don’t try to fool me anymore
I can always choose whether to open or shut the door.

Don’t try to take away my liberties
You can’t control anything you’re just a disease.

Don’t separate me from those I love
Or you will feel me push and shove.

Don’t think I will ever just accept this is the way things have to be.
You cannot get me to see.

The diabetes you are so rough
But don’t forget I am the one whose tough.
I am the one who says, “Enough!”

Poem

Show by MwsR

When you hold me
Hold me so close our hearts blend.
If you care for me at all
Make me believe without having to ask.
Whenever you desire to be with me
Show me like a poem written in visual words.
If you want me to be in your life,
Show me you do, like a puzzle piece knows it fits in its place.
Make me see what you see when you think of me
With all the purpose that special meaning can be.
Loving should come without hesitation
And it should serve as a privileged obligation.
When giving me your self
Help me feel like you have nothing left to give
If you can’t
Disappear to whence you came.

Poem

Survive by MwsR

Today we live

In this day we strive

Strive because the urge is instead

The past lingers still

Still work will bring us fruits of labor

Labor gives us things

Things accumulate forward

Forward we all go

Passages we retain for knowledge

Knowledge is for us all

The future awaits

Awaits for everyone

If even for a mere second

Second we stop to notice

Notice the blessings

Blessings for many

Many people, us, them, and so forth.

Poem (Diabetes)

My Disease by MwsR

It hurts to have you in my life
Each reminder pricks me like a knife.
I struggle to keep you at “bay”
But you just won’t go away.

Walking seems to clear my head
While you try to keep me in bed.
Food I take in
Keeps me, prisoner, again.

Wishing you weren’t here
Want to take away the worrisome fear.
Like an old friend that I have talked to
You remind me of what I should do.

To say my life would be different without you
Is exactly the truth.
You came into my life when health wasn’t important to me
Taught me a lot, you see.

Diabetes, you aren’t my friend
You will however be with me till the end.
So I think I’ll try to be
The one I can be with this disease.

Don’t let fear rule or dictate your life.
Live it with all you’ve been given, even amid the strife.
After all, you came first before the Diabetes,
You don’t need to make a peace treaty.

Fight to live!
Take the time to give it!
Share your knowledge and experience,
With those who search for a difference.

Poem

Scared I would be

If it were not for thee

Haunted I am

My life turned around

Useful I want to be

Everyone has their place in history

Repulsed by someone’s attitude

Anger wants to be loose

Solemn in my thoughts

A sale, so I bought

Contrary in mood

Trying to do what I should

Forever explaining

There is constant complaining

Wretched as things can get

Having to wait again, I bet

Rhyming to make a story

Things often take from someone’s glory

Faultless almost never

Things that come won’t last forever

Striving each day

Offering often to pray

Writing to make an impact

Things get cherish like old nicknacks

Whispers bring contentment

Lies bring their resentments

Trials give way to error

People often flee from terror

Reading to retain knowledge

Never facing something that should be acknowledged

Turmoil brings tribulation

Poems bring forth revelations.
