Sometimes…by MwsR
Sometimes…
Changes come ’round so fast
Others take decade or more.
Sometimes…
We search frantically in all the wrong places,
Looking for what we’ve had all along.
Sometimes…
People do really mean what they say,
While there are others who believe a lie.
Sometimes…
Fate wakes you up, serves you crap, and leaves you to pay the tip.
And tip you always do.
Sometimes…
A person is blessed beyond measure,
Others are measured by their blessings.
Sometimes…
Things just end
Like this poem, my friend.

Hey folks!
More garden veggies today! I just picked some yellow squash, cucumber, zucchini that was 15 inches long, and some Kale.
I am reaping the garden’s fresh produce and I love it. I am freezing what I cannot eat and it feels great to have food that actually I grew all by myself. So I know where it comes from, what it has been through and how it is being handled. Wonderful!
I hope everyone is fairing well and happy. Kids are out from school for the summer here and our theaters show a series of kids cartoons and movies free or a dollar for them. I will be taking my grandkids to see some this summer. It is a really nice thing especially for all the kids who may otherwise not ever seen a theater or a movie . I like when community helps out. Don’t you? Hey, I like going just as much as they do.
I have been busy lately, my second born daughter will be getting married and I am having to do decorations, foods, etc, but on a tight budget. I have found lots of great ideas on the web. Pinterest is really helpful, that is why I post my posts to my Pinterest account. People from all over go there to look for ideas, recipes, etc, Check it out! Mine is under my word press name, and there is more than I have here on my Pinterest account.
I want to wish everyone a good afternoon and I appreciate my followers, the Likes, comments, and interest you show. I hope that I offer you something unique, handy, or helpful.
That’s all I have for now. I shall see you on this side of the rainbow,
Michelle

If Real, by MwsR
Today, if things that were not real suddenly became real
You would see shoes fussing about all the crap they take
Mirrors would bluntly let you know how you really are
Phones would refuse to text your abusive texts
Hand sanitizer would refuse to clean up your germs
Dogs would let you know how they view the world
Birds would start a spy business and make lots of money
Towels would continually get sick
Pens would scribble onto anything but paper
Doors would deliberately keep you out
Radios would play songs to you that it wants to
Computers would refuse to work
Clothes would find someone worthy of them
Chairs would sit on us
Tissue would go on strike, instead of on a streak
Products would ship us out
Cars would more than likely travel without us
Houses would relocate
Cats would rule
Beds would sleep without us
If things were real that aren’t in real life
We most certainly would be doomed.

Uses For Coffee Filters
COFFEE FILTERS….not just for coffee!!!
Coffee filters …. Who knew! And you can buy 1,000 at the Dollar Tree for almost nothing even the large ones.
- Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave. Coffee filters make excellent covers.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and chrome… Coffee filters are lint-free so they’ll leave windows sparkling.
- Protect China by separating your good dishes with a coffee filter between each dish.
- Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.
- Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.
- Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.
- Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.
- Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.
- Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.
- Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent the soil from going through the drainage holes.
11.. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter. - Do you think we used expensive strips to wax eyebrows? Use strips of coffee filters..
- Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them. It soaks out all the grease.
- Keep in the bathroom. They make great “razor nick fixers.”
- As a sewing backing. Use a filter as an easy-to-tear backing for embroidering or appliqueing soft fabrics.
- Put baking soda into a coffee filter and insert into shoes or a closet to absorb or prevent odors.
- Use them to strain soup stock and to tie fresh herbs in to put in soups and stews.
- Use a coffee filter to prevent spilling when you add fluids to your car.
- Use them as a spoon rest while cooking and clean up small counter spills.
- Can use to hold dry ingredients when baking or when cutting a piece of fruit or veggies.. Saves on having extra bowls to wash.
- Use them to wrap Christmas ornaments for storage.
- Use them to remove fingernail polish when out of cotton balls.
- Use them to sprout seeds.. Simply dampen the coffee filter, place seeds inside, fold it and place it into a plastic baggie until they sprout.
- Use coffee filters as blotting paper for pressed flowers. Place the flowers between two coffee filters and put the coffee filters in phone book..
- Use as a disposable “snack bowl” for popcorn, chips, etc.

Storm by MwsR
There is often a storm before a peaceful sky.
Sometimes it takes a day, sometimes it takes nine.
Things that are simple enough
Can’t prepare you to be tough.
Things that are hard and challenge you
Will help you in all you do.
You should be grateful when they arrive
That is when you’ll feel the fire in your eyes.
Nothing worth having comes easy or fast.
Sometimes it takes ultimate strength to be the one who will last.
Be thankful for the storm that lies before
Following close behind will be so much more.
