Intermittent Fasting~ Can You Drink Diet Soda?

I have been researching the Intermittent Fasting lately. I think it has crucial benefits and positive feedback, enough to get the interest of a lot of people, doctors, and nutritionists. I want to learn as much as I can about it, and I am thinking about following it at some point. We all know that the Keto thing is very popular and I have actually been on this one. I still have my almond flours, coconut flours, coconut oils, that I find to be very good for overall health and beneficial for low carbs. There has been substantial benefits and health news about it. There is of course the Mediterranean diet, that is popular, and the food in it is very good and tasty. I have incorporated several things I learnt from it , into my own life. So with all this being said, I will be posting frequently about the Intermittent Fasting.

Poem (Diabetes)

My Disease by MwsR

It hurts to have you in my life
Each reminder pricks me like a knife.
I struggle to keep you at “bay”
But you just won’t go away.

Walking seems to clear my head
While you try to keep me in bed.
Food I take in
Keeps me, prisoner, again.

Wishing you weren’t here
Want to take away the worrisome fear.
Like an old friend that I have talked to
You remind me of what I should do.

To say my life would be different without you
Is exactly the truth.
You came into my life when health wasn’t important to me
Taught me a lot, you see.

Diabetes, you aren’t my friend
You will however be with me till the end.
So I think I’ll try to be
The one I can be with this disease.

Don’t let fear rule or dictate your life.
Live it with all you’ve been given, even amid the strife.
After all, you came first before the Diabetes,
You don’t need to make a peace treaty.

Fight to live!
Take the time to give it!
Share your knowledge and experience,

Chocolate Cobbler This Morning…

I made a chocolate cobbler this morning. It reminds me of dark chocolate. I used Splenda in it since I am diabetic. Nothing better than a warm chocolate gooey pudding like dessert. My family likes it and I am surprised at how it turned out. The methods to making this I saw on the internet. The methods seemed strange to me but they recipe withy worked to make this dessert. I will share this recipe with you.

Ingredients~

  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, in my case SPLENDA
  • 1 cup milk, or half and half
  • _________Mix these together. Add 2 tsp vanilla flavoring or vanilla extract. SET ASIDE
  • 5 teaspoons or tablespoons depending on taste, of chocolate cocoa

  • —————————Mix these two and set aside. Meanwhile heat Oven to 350 and put two butter sticks into the baking dish and let them melt in oven.

DIRECTIONS~

  • Put first mixture(flour mixture) into baking dish. DO NOT STIR
  • Thenhttps://amzn.to/3eCBKQF put second mixture(cocoa) on top of flour mixture. Use your hands t spread evenly. DO NOT MIX ANYTHING>
  • Then you want to boil 2 cups of water, when ready pour evenly across top of the cocoa mixture. DO NOT STIR
  • Cook for 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Finished product. It isn’t all pretty and neat but it is good to the taste. MwsR
