Fractures Of The Heart by MwsR

Starting it is too small to see
But deep down it starts to hurt a small part of me,
Though visibly you wouldn’t even know
A certain feeling instead that starts to grow.
It comes from words that crush your soul
Or feelings turned into actions that dig your spirit a hole.
Like a plant that is starved of food,
It starts to wilt and not look so good.
A minute event that can change the outlook
A part that nothing specific it seems it took
But noticeable and unforgiving in spite
It will continue to fracture if not treated right.
The only way to make it better maybe
To simply leave it alone, you see.
Time has a way of correcting the bad
Or making us happy despite the feelings that once made us sad.
Like feelings that became fractures of the heart
Learning to let go is a really good place to start,
To repair, live with or treat the best way
Our fractures will either go or they’ll continue to stay.
But to know we have done the best we could
make us feel better like we all should.

Historical Facts, You Might Wish Were Not True

Italy’s Renaissance period has a major, though little-known, dark side. Sailors returning from the New World brought with them a massive outbreak of syphilis, which spread through an entire French army. The troops then brought what would become known as “the great pox” to the rest of Europe. With no such thing as antibiotics back then, the disease was able to spread unchecked—and its effects were nasty.

Fact Is…

“New car smell” is the scent of dozens of chemicals.”

“Few odors are as pleasing as “new car smell“—and not just because it’s nice to be in a brand new car. But while the scent may be strangely satisfying, the fact is that it’s pretty much just a combination of 50+ chemicals (known as “volatile organic compounds”) that are released into the car, decaying quickly over time. The concentrations found in a typical new car aren’t dangerous, but among the VOCs that make up much of that new car smell are those found in nail polish, auto fuel, and petroleum.”

Core Exercises Are Needed, Here Is Why

Core exercises are an important part of a well-rounded fitness program. Aside from occasional situps and pushups, however, core exercises are often neglected. Still, it pays to get your core muscles — the muscles around your trunk and pelvis — in better shape. Read on to find out why.

The Longest Living…

Animals on earth

The animal kingdom boasts some incredibly long lifespans that far exceed the average human’s. While humans may have an “absolute limit” of 150 years, this is just a blink of an eye compared with the centuries and millennia that some animals live through; and some animals can even stop or reverse the aging process altogether.
