Why am I passionate about my blogging?

I am really a newbie in this blog thing and I am learning more and more each time I read someone else’s stuff or the WordPress blog posts. I enjoy writing, I always have. What started out as a simple diary from my childhood , later became my heart in words on paper. When a person deals with emotional upsets, they express their dealings or experiences in different ways. My way of expression is poetry and just writing. I came on WordPress to promote my books, but found so much more here. I hope that one day, I may help someone or give enjoyment to someone, and possibly a little hope too.

10 Random Facts

  1. I rode the 1982 World’s Fair, Ferris wheel in Knoxville Tennessee. The Giant Wheel was the largest Ferris wheel in the world at the time and the park’s tallest attraction at 165 feet. It’s currently the second tallest wheel in North America. I was stuck motionless on the very top too.
  2. The largest crowd I ever sang in front of was 500 people. It was a school function.
  3. I once went to a singing audition, sang a song from Mariah Cary and won first place. I was offered a record deal and an appearance on the Grand Ole Opry.  I  had to turn it down although it had been a dream of mine.
  4. I take 2 shots a day for my Diabetes.
  5. I have never traveled outside the USA, although I wish.
  6. I am not a victim anymore, I am a survivor.
  7. I love all walks of people and always thought I would be a nurse when I grew up.
  8. I have never went on a cruise ship. One of my wishes .
  9. I can play piano.
  10. I live in the same town as the family that raised me but never see them. Long story.

Questions for me to answer from Photosociology

How straight is straight?

It depends on who is observing.

What would you think I was referring to if I told you to ‘put it down’?

Feelings. Put my feelings down in words.

Why are swans graceful?

They don’t know they are beautiful.

Would you be a superhero or a sidekick, and what would your name be?

I’d be a sidekick, my name would be “Humble”, why because I think being ‘Humble” is what we all should be.

If you could remove one letter from the English alphabet, what would it be, and what consequences do you see coming from it?

Hmm… I guess it would be “e” because it usually hangs in the end of a word and it is unnecessary there.

What was the last thing you lost and never found? What do you imagine has happened to it?

I lost my sense of innocence. I wish I had never lost that. I envy babies and children they have it. I think somewhere in between my knowledge of things and adulthood, that is where I lost it.

What significance does the number seven have to you? What memories do you associate with it?

It reminds me of the days of creation in the Bible. I think of a week as well.

I remember learning the days of creation in school. I went to a Private Christian School.

Young and completely broke or old and disgustingly rich?

Old and rich, because I would give that money to those in need.

If a giant squirrel had commandeered your mode of transportation, whether car, moped, bike etc., and seemed to know how to make it work, what would you do to stop him?

I would not, I would enjoy watching it.

If you had your own coat of arms, what would I expect to find on them to describe you/ your family?
You would find a weight, a heart, a music note and possibly a light.

Latin Chicken Skillet with Black Beans

Latin-Chicken-Skillet-Black-Beans-Tomatoes-19-768x1152

Description
You’re less than 30 minutes away from serving up a delicious, homemade chicken dinner with Latin flair! And with just a handful of ingredients and a single skillet, this Latin skillet is a perfect meal for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 package (about 5-6 pieces, 1 1/2 to 2 pounds total) chicken breast cutlets, pat dry
2 teaspoons adobo seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 shallot, thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups grape tomatoes, halved
1 (15.5-ounce) can black beans
Lime wedges, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
Season chicken with adobo seasoning, then fry until golden brown on the bottoms, about 3 minutes. Flip chicken over and add garlic and shallots, shaking the pan a bit so the garlic and shallots move toward the bottom of the pan. Continue to cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium, add beans, and simmer until the beans are heated through and the chicken is fully cooked, about 5 minutes longer.
Serve chicken and black beans with lime wedges alongside, if desired

Beauty

The beauty of it all

Seeing things  with child like eyes.

Daisies stand in their simple yet elegant ways.

Birds sing from branches to fence posts

Of the nature of things.

Whispering wind carries fragrances with ease

On past the top of the highest trees

Calmness in this busy array

Sports the wonders in a splendid display

Often I feel something sacred in it all

I wish to see it from beginning to end

Tomorrow I will look and listen for it all again.

Something about nature that cannot be contained

Yet many things are relatively the same.

By surprise something will catch the human eye

By circumstance you will see nature “dance”.

This wondrous place is for all who look

I’ve seen it myself, so captivating and mighty.

Oh what a place where fantasy becomes the real world.

A place with order and meaningful things.

Beauty is around, look and you will find it.

Morning(here) Y’ll

person s hand on black board with hello text beside brown mug

Hello and good morning.

I just wanted to touch base with all my friends on Word Press, and everywhere in between.

I enjoy this website because it gives me an outlet of expression that I most appreciate. Also, I have made friendships while doing this. How great is that? I appreciate all the comments, followings, and likes very much.

I started this page in hopes to advertise and promote my poem books. Most un-expectant though it has become so much more. I am very grateful that in that first initial reason, I have gained much more than promoting my books. I have gained a whole social interaction from others that love to write as I do. That is invaluable. Not saying though, that selling some of my books would not be great too, because it certainly would help my family if I did. I started the whole book thing because I wanted to leave my kids and grandkids something of me, when I am gone. I wanted to make them proud and show them that you can do what you set your heart and mind to do. I also wanted to let others out in our world know that they are not alone with their feelings and thoughts, or emotions.

As I have written about before on my blog here, my thoughts and feelings were pushed to the wayside growing up. I struggled to find my outer voice, one that would help my inner voice be heard. This came in the form of writing and in music that I wrote and played. For the longest time I searched for a way to be heard, perhaps you know someone like that, or have been that someone. It is important to know your feeling do matter. Anyway, I will stop trying to coach the world and just say, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, if you are,

I might start experimenting a tad and try some new things here; we will see.

Have a good day and be true to yourself!

MwsR ❤
