Yogurt For A Dog With Diarrhea

Sometimes our little buddies will get some serious tummy problems, and it’s mostly due to the fact that they will put almost anything in their mouth. For those times when your dog has diarrhea, it is important to keep him hydrated and not to upset the stomach further, and yogurt will help soothe the inflammation and promote the growth of good bacteria.

      Did You Know?

You Should Throw Away the Cotton in Your Pill Bottles

      adderall pills barista secrets

Believe it or not, that little ball of cotton that comes in your bottle of pills, which is there to keep pills safe during shipping, is meant to be removed. It can collect moisture because of its absorbent nature, which makes your pills deteriorate faster.

It’s Easy to Calculate a Tip Without a Calculator

Assuming you want to tip 20 percent for good service, move the decimal point one digit to the left and then double that number. It’s that easy! For example, if a bill is for $35.50, you move the decimal to the left, which gives you $3.55. Double that number, and you’ve got $7.10—a 20 percent tip calculated in seconds.

Sharp Knives Are Safer Than Dull Knives

      chef's knife, over 30

Sharp knives aren’t actually as likely to cut you as dull ones. Because a sharp knife easily slices through food, you only have to apply a small amount of pressure when using them. This means that you’re more likely to cut the item you’re intending to cut, and not your hand.

Dull knives, however, can’t cut through food easily and often cause injuries when the resistance between the dull blade and the food’s surface suddenly gives way, at which point the knife flies out of control. Since you have to use so much pressure to cut with a dull knife, they often cause deep cuts and gouges, as opposed to the minor nicks a sharper knife might inflict. Keep your knives sharp and hone those skills for maximum safety.

There Are More Life Forms on Your Body Than People on Earth

      over 40 myth

You are a planet teeming with microbes. Trillions of them inhabit your body. In fact, 90 percent of the cells in your body are actually composed of microbes.

You’re Tallest First Thing in the Morning

woman waking up punctual stressed out

Intervertebral disks between your vertebra are filled with water. Over the course of a day, the weight of your body causes the water to diffuse out of the disks, and you can lose up to an inch in height by the time you go to bed at night. At night, while you’re sleeping, water can diffuse back into the disks.

So, if you’re feeling a bit on the short side, measure yourself when you first wake up. Another thing that could be making you shorter is bad posture from too much screen time.

      Quote

      Like

Like a storm from out of nowhere
Drifting away like a dream, on air
More scattered than the grains of sand
But finding common ground to stand.
      Troubles thicker than molasses
Smears that collect upon the glasses.
      Too much sometimes
      Too little I find.
Promises that prick you like roses
People that will leave you in droves.
      Lies without guilt
Steamy words from upon their lips.
      I’m insignificant
      Though I feel transparent.
      Walking always, somewhere
      But heading nowhere.
      Jokes are about me
But I’m not laughing, you see.
Thoughts should be for the things that matter
      Not for hearts to shatter.
      But can’t make it go
      Can’t, you know?
      Life and love intertangle
      Circumstance and perhaps, all dangle.
      Forward just one time
Backward, when it tries to unwind.
      Feelings…friends…words…and thoughts

      Rug

The rug that sits at the front door
Could never change its job, not anymore.
It watched as people ran over it in search of something or for a place to go.
It knew it would never be really important, though.
It was kind of a place to stop and turn a key
Or a place for people to wipe off their feet.
When it rained the rain would fall onto it without hesitation
Why in the world was this its occupation?
Some days the sun would smile down as if to say “it’s okay”
But underneath there was dirt grinding it away.
No one really knows what this rug went through
And then one day, it was time for it to go, it was replaced with a rug that was new.
Discarded as if it never served a purpose or had a reason
Just used up and tossed out with the start of a new season.

If people could take a look down, take a notice
      They would start to refocus.
Because life is to important not to notice everything
We need to feel and appreciate what all this one life can bring….

      Smile,
      By MwsR

She smiled, to keep up the pretense
Though she herself felt sad and intense.
She walked, not into a new day
Yet she ran into chaos from every which way.
Her heart had let her down,
Still, her mind would not let her drown.
She cried, but not for letting others down
They were not the reasons she carried a frown.
She wished that she could just run away
Yet nothing made her demons stay at bay.
The dreams and wishes she once had
Now, they only make her sad.
She smiled to keep up the pretense
But what she needed was immense.
