MwsR Poem (from a Diabetic’s perspective)
What I Know(Diabetic’s thoughts)
By MwsR
It just takes one bite
And my sugar stays high all night.
One can of a regular coke
And feeling tired afterward is no joke.
Want to overeat
But knowing inside it will make my blood sugar peak.
At birthday parties pass up on the cake
Because you hate that “sugar high” headache.
Feeling tired all day long
The food you ate and what kind was all wrong.
Wanting to get in shape
Exercising only with enough calorie intake.
Going out on the town to a favorite food place
Catching the frown you’re given from your loved one’s face.
Being told “You know that is wrong to do”,
But asking them, “And just who the heck are you?”
It’s not thought about
Never easy without a doubt.
Diabetes is a complication and disease
But doesn’t have to bring you to your knees.
Take control, take back your life.
Make it count regardless of any strife.

Strategies For Anxiety Relief
We all experience anxiety. It is a natural response when we think events or experiences in our environment are threatening, uncertain or challenging. Anxiety can be helpful at times because it keeps us alert and focused, but when the anxiety response persists, it is no longer adaptive. It just does not ruin ourselves mentally but affects our physical and relation aspects as well. With this, we list some of the strategies that will hopefully provide relief during anxiety attacks.

Hey All!
It has been five months since I was involved in a wreck that left me with broken bones, ribs, three fractures in my pelvis, bruised lung, and a lacerated spleen. I am doing great considering. I was in a wheelchair, then used a walker, then a cane. Today I am happy to report I can walk without any aid. I feel well. I do not constantly have pain associated with that wreck. I sometimes overdo it and feel the strain along places I had injured. I am grateful and thankful that I am intact and mobile. I say all this to say this one important thing…
There will always be some kind of obstacle, some kind of barrier. It is up to us to manuever around, crawl under, or climb that.We all have the capability in one measure or another. Dont give up, never give in.
