It was the best of times

Yet, secretly, the worst of times.

Often misjudged for happiness

Even disguised as love.

Some never bothered,

To take their blinders off.

Some knew, and tried to play it off.

Yet, no one but herself, felt it all.

No one to pick her up after the fall.

Crashing like the waves of the ocean

Her spirit was dispersed,

Wishing, to be a balloon

And to float gently and swiftly away.

You Bring Me Rain, poem

Start of the day, it hits me

Like a ray of sunshine, only it is rain

The things I keep clutter my brain

Newness of the day is a mere distraction

There is no awakening from this, no retraction.

Soon as my eyes open, I can feel it

Like little beads that sting, upon my heart

If only I had been smart!

Maybe I could of prepared some,

Took shelter from those who cared, someone

Instead, when I awake in bed

I feel the rain

It kind of hurts like pain,

But it eases shortly after, insane.

Rain can be a life giver

It can keep something alive

Known this most of my life.

But, sadly it also brings me pain,

All the thoughts that I have hid in my brain,

Oh! This,

You bring me rain.

Silent Prison, poem(about abuse)

Image result for prison of one's mind

Shouldn’t hurt to be a kid

Why have to pay for the things he did

Shattered is only part of it

Separated and torn, not fit

Despised for an act they are not guilty for

Never able to forget what happened behind that door

In secret, they fight the pain

In secret, she slowly turned insane

Why no one believed

Because to believe her they had to had seen

They don’t know what it took to tell

She was a prisoner, in her silent hell

Though more a prisoner to others disbelief

One day, just one day, she hopes for relief.

Yesterday~poem

Things were simpler then

Nothing was taken for granted

Everything was new and fresh and exciting,

Yet scary as well.

You needed me then.

I was there

I carried not only my own scares but yours too.

Watching from behind the scenes

Never trying to be a judge in the area of your heart

But always stretching forth my time, my heart, my hand

Not giving out demands

Just being the strong one,

The one who could if at moments notice, carry you too

Now I see it all from back then as a different thing entirely

You did not truly believe in your own heart,

You were scared of your hurt feelings,

Ready to deny the truth and hold back on the tears

In spite of it all, still clinging to what ifs

You let me think you needed me so,

Needed my help and knew I would not say, “No”

I wish we had that bond of whatever it was, again

I wish you felt more of me being a friend,

Hoping though, changes really nothing

It is in the head, that you need adjusting.

Hopes do not turn the tomorrows wheel

Instead it clings to most of our life

Wanting today to be the day.

Oh, to wish it away would be foolish

Still, I will hope and with honesty look at it all

As it really was, and then how I wanted it to be.
